I'm 61 and have been lifting weights in my basement since the pandemic. Two months ago I joined a gym and have increased the weights and exercises. I'm also doing yoga once a week. I feel very strong!

A valid wake up call. But instead of popping pills which are ineffective without therapy, the first step to long-term bone health is regular stress to cause bones to remain strong. Begin by replacing transportation with local walking EVERYWHERE adding weight as you are able. Perfect-fitting walking shoes are essential. (Use a backpack, shopping bags or weighted vest). For longer distances, ride a bicycle. Evaluate your bone health with a trabecular bone scan. Avoid DEXA which is inaccurate. Digest the book "Great Bones" by McCormick

Nobody gets enough Vitamin K in our society. Supplementing with K2 type MK-4 will help the calcium from food go to your bones instead of arterial plaque. Bones have more collagen than calcium, a good collagen supplement helps your bones as well as skin.
