My AST ALT levels were over 1000 when I was hospitalized a year ago. Sobriety, diet and exercise brought them all the way down to normal ranges as of last week.

I reversed mild NAFLD by losing 40 pounds on a mostly plant-based diet (I eat fish), low carbs, no eating after dinner, and no snacking. This was slow weight loss over 18 months. In addition, all of my metabolic numbers went down to a good level. I was determined to, so I didn’t find it difficult and got used to it quickly. Health is precious

Interesting post about the jerky, I didn’t realise the company’s mission addresses the ecological imbalance caused by the overpopulation of Axis deer, an invasive species introduced to Hawaii in the 1860s. It’s a win win.

You should look at the health benefits of Berberine. I started taking it a few years ago after tipping over the ‘pre diabetes’ mark so looked for alternatives to Metformin etc.

I don’t have pre diabetes any more… But then again, I tweaked my lifestyle a bit. Not because I’m not healthy, but because I can’t eat like I’m 25 anymore at twice the age 😂

Great article! Very well researched.

Added sugar, especially high fructose corn syrup, should be the first things removed from the diet. There’s some evidence that high levels of seed oils also inflame the liver and add to the problem.
