I do. I have been doing a deep dive into Lions mane recently. Compounds in some mushrooms may promote the synthesis of nerve growth factors in the brain.
Great article. How important to you is it that you each of these supplements be pure in their constitution? Comparing a fish oil off the Walmart shelf to a more expensive supplement company. Do you think the cognitive benefits are still found in the cheaper options?
to date i have only found one Fish oil supplement with the dosages she mentioned with 1g of each per tablet, most are very low dose... got a 6 month supply shipped form the states about $700 AUD... ouch... but otherwise feel you are wasting money on low dose (that state they are triple strength and nothing close to it...)
I recently watched your conversation on Diary of a CEO and found your insights on creatine monohydrate, particularly CreaPure, and its cognitive benefits for women incredibly compelling.
My interest in this topic has become more personal, as my partner is currently pregnant. While you highlighted strong evidence supporting creatine’s role in brain health, energy metabolism, and neuroprotection, I understand that research specifically examining creatine supplementation during pregnancy remains limited.
Given creatine’s involvement in cellular energy production and neurological development, I’m curious about your perspective in the absence of direct clinical data. If you were advising from a mechanistic and risk-benefit standpoint, how would you approach creatine use during pregnancy? More personally, if you were pregnant, would you consider supplementation, and what factors would influence that decision?
I would greatly appreciate any insight you’re comfortable sharing.
Thank you for your time and for the work you do in advancing cognitive health.
Louisa, I would appreciate it so much if you would tell us what brand of epa/dha you take? I find it so difficult because most are very low dosages and I'd need to take a lot of capsules to get what you say you should. Thank you SO much.
Excellent information! Thanks for this.
Do you have any thoughts on mushroom supplements for brain health as well?

would be interested to know mushroom stack and dose might help with my MS...

Louisa, What type of creatine do you recommend? Pill form or powder you add to water. Also do you have a preferred brand?
Once again, a great article! Concise & practical. I love your work
