Improve Memory and Decision Making skills through Resistance training
Neuro Athletes,
As you get older, your physical capabilities like muscles and strength start to decrease.
Everybody knows this because they are seeing a change….
And that’s why you exercise to get better muscles and body for a longer period of time.
But what about your brain ability?
As you age, your cognitive abilities also decrease…but you take it as normal and most people aren’t worried about this.
Why?
Because they don’t know how to improve their cognitive abilities or how to prevent your brain's quick ageing.
But I’m here to help you achieve both mental and physical strength.
If you’ve been following me for some time you’d know that I emphasise on resistance training a lot.
Because it isn’t just about building stamina and maintaining your muscle mass. It helps you in increasing your brain power.
And It’s not an observation. This is backed by scientific evidence.
A study was conducted by two independent researchers in which they concluded that resistance training is good for both physical strength and mental strength.
It was found that:
Resistance training helps in functional brain changes, particularly in the Frontal lobe.
The frontal lobe is responsible for executive functions like problem-solving and decision-making.Resistance training lets you preserve white matter in your brain which helps different parts of the brain communicate with each other. When white matter gets smaller or damaged, it can make it hard for people to think and remember things.
So, if you want to retain mental strength like your physical strength, do resistance exercises regularly.
You can keep your brain sharp for a longer period of time.
Your ability to solve complex problems is extremely important for your success in today’s world.
Making better decisions will certainly help you in every field of life whether it's your personal life or work. Your relationships should not suffer because of the poor decisions you make.
Exercise isn’t just about bulking up, it’s much more than that. It’s about achieving the peak performing stage of your mind and body.
To live a meaningful life that will certainly bring joy and purpose.
Keep doing resistance training and stay healthy
